Something about me
(and my site)
Personal
I was born in northern Italy in the late 70ies, and how I wish time had stop then, but it didn’t.
I live in Baar (ZG), Switzerland, with my beautiful wife Laura, my lovely daughter Emma Giulia, our persian cat Rudolph Cooper II and our peluche pet penguin, Johnatan Sebastian Ringo. In my free time, I’m a more-enthusiastic-than-good tennis player, I like skiing, cooking, reading books and watchin more TV shows than movies. My all-time favourite is probably Lost (what a stupid way to destroy a good idea) Dirty Sexy Money, but I also like Dirty Sexy Money Lost, House MD, Dexter and, more recently, Cougar Town. Oldies but goldies mention goes to Knight Rider, McGyver and Sex and the City. Oh, and Love Boat (thank you Fox Retro!).
Education
My education is a very unique path between different topics, including science, humanities and economics. The most important steps of my education are:
- Apple developer, 2010
- Microsoft certified partner, 2009
- master in product management – Milan, 2005
- master’s degree in foreign languages and literatures – Milan, 2002
- scientific grammar school – Piacenza, 1996
You can contact me for my full resume if interested.
Music
Since I was 10, I started playing several instruments, including piano, bass, guitar, accordion, flute and ukulele, but, honestly, I am good only at piano – and by the way, not as much as I would.
My first important band was called “The Crawlers”; I was the lead singer and bass player, and we’ve recorded a couple of songs I am still proud of. Sometimes I play the piano and sing backing vocals with a fantastic band called Warm Morning.
About this site
This site, like many others of my production, was built using the following tools and services:
- xhtml, css, php, js editor: codingmonkeys subethaedit (that’s a truly good one; but recently I have switched to Adobe Dreamweaver)
- ftp client: Panic Transmit
- hardware: Apple Macbook Pro (now 17″15″ again) with Parallels. I’m pretty pleased with my mac, but I really appreciate Windows 7
- inspiration, tips and tools: always starting from del.icio.us (a bit less recently; let see how it will go)
